What does 'Equalities in Health' mean?
Achieving ‘Equalities in Health’ means tackling an entirely preventable cause of poor health - discrimination. We can be discriminated against because of our gender, social class, ethnic group, disability, age, faith or sexual orientation. This site highlights examples of how health is affected by discrimination and explains the various ways in which NHSGGC is working towards a health service which is sensitive to inequalities.
This web site acts as a resource for health professionals and anyone with an interest in equalities in health.
