Welcome to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Equalities in Health web site.
Achieving ‘Equalities in Health’ means tackling an entirely preventable cause of poor health, one that is the result of discrimination due to someone’s gender, social class, ethnic group, disability, age, faith or sexual orientation.
These pages give examples of how health is affected by discrimination and highlights the various ways in which NHSGGC is working towards a health service which is sensitive to inequalities.
The web site aims to act as a resource for health professionals and anyone with an interest in equalities in health. Please read on.
