Getting It Right for LGBT People - training opportunity for all staff

This practical learning session offers the opportunity to find out more about sexual orientation and gender identity and why it’s so important for health professionals to respond confidently to LGBT people’s specific needs and build trust in service delivery.

In addition to delivering fun and engaging structured learning, the sessions offer a safe space to ask those hard to ask questions like.... ‘I’m worried about making mistakes – how do I avoid putting my foot in it?’ or ‘I’m lost with terminology – what’s the difference between transgender people and intersex people?’

This is the second year NHSGGC have run the sessions – our 2016/17 events were fully booked and evaluated really well – so we’re delighted LGBT Youth Scotland have agreed to deliver again for us.

Sessions are being run throughout 2018 at the following venues. All courses run from 10am – 12.30pm.
