What is a Human Library?

The Human Library is an innovative way of promoting discussion between different groups of people, helping to reduce prejudices and encouraging understanding.

Visitors to a Human Library are given the opportunity to speak informally with “people on loan”. These people have found themselves subjected to stereotyping and prejudice for various reasons such their job, sexual orientation, social status, religion or physical impairment.
